A fun event everybody can enjoy, the NOLA Caribbean Festival will be held on June 23rd and 24th this year. It will be held at Central City BBQ and admission to this event is $15.

The NOLA Caribbean Festival will celebrate all things Caribbean. Enjoy great music, culture, dance, food and so much more. The festival will run from 3pm to 10pm each day.

The Music

This is a very musical event with plenty to enjoy from all types of great musical acts. The lineup for Saturday includes N'Kiruka, Yard Squad Band, Cuban Papi, Neptune Steel Pans, La Tifa, Imani Ray and three DJs. The DJs include DJ T-Roy, DJ Felipe and DJ Megatron.

Greek Fest is coming and it will be a fun weekend for all to enjoy. Held from May 25th to 27th this year, Greek Fest will be found at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. It's a Memorial Day Weekend tradition and a great event for families to enjoy together.

The French Market District will play host to the 32nd Annual Creole Tomato Festival on June 9th and 10th this year. It's one of the most unique and most interesting events held throughout the year.

Background for the Event

Creoles are a type of succulent tomato and an essential ingredient in some of the most popular dishes from the south. For the past 32 years, the Creole Tomato Festival has been held to celebrate the tomato. It's a chance for locals to gather together, visitors to flood in and everybody to enjoy an incredible event full of surprises.

There will be life-sized tomatoes strolling through the event, tomato shaped fans and plenty of the first tomatoes of the season getting auctioned off to local chefs.

For the seventh year in a row, the Birdfoot Festival is back. This festival includes a youthful, rule-bending style with plenty of great live chamber music to offer. It's known as New Orleans' International Chamber Music Festival and offers great music and entertainment throughout the event.

The Events

While the actual festival doesn't begin until May 29th, the Community Chamber Music Reading Party will be held on May 21t from 8pm to 11pm. This event will be at the George and Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center on Rampart Street. Amateur musicians will come out and enjoy this event as they play in a relaxed atmosphere for all to enjoy.

Memorial Day Weekend is a very big weekend for events in New Orleans. The Bayou Country Superfest will be held on this weekend at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. This event will feature plenty of top acts and has become a Memorial Day tradition for the area. It used to be held at Tiger Stadium, but was moved and became even larger.

This year, the Bayou Country Superfest will cover three days and will provide plenty of incredible entertainment. The festival will begin on Friday, My 25th with a new event called "A Salute to America." This event will include a massive firework display over the Mississippi River at night and will provide plenty of fun.
